Alumni - 2002

Joy Hanna -- General Humanities, University of Toronto, Victoria College. Will probably major in Cognitive Science.
"There are so many good things one could say about Augustine College. I just wish that all of my friends could have the opportunity to
experience what I did last year at Augustine...It changed my life. I have a much deeper understanding of where this world has come from and
also where it is going. I know that my year at Augustine was a year well spent and it has given me a valuable education that has put me one
step ahead of most of my classmates."
Julia Redekop -- McMaster University (Philosophy)
Steve Slater -- Hillsdale College, majoring in (tentatively) history and philosophy.
Caleb Cohoe -- St. Thomas Aquinas (California)
- Read
his 2002 Valedictory Address
- August 2006 Update: "I graduated from Thomas Aquinas College
in California this past spring, having enjoyed my time there very much.
I greatly appreciated being able to study many of the seminal books
of Western culture throughout the various liberal arts, continuing,
in many ways, the beginning made at Augustine. I had many profitable
discussions about these works and formed a number of good friendships
(I wrote my senior thesis on Johannes Kepler's new astronomy ... and
how it fits with older conceptions of science, particularly those of
Aristotle and Thomas Aquinas). I spent the summer taking an intensive
Greek program at the University of California Berkeley in preparation
for the fall when I'll be continuing in graduate school. I am entering
the classical philosophy program at Princeton aiming at a doctorate
in philosophy and am looking forward to developing my understanding
of Plato and Aristotle, inter alia, and also, hopefully, of the truth."
Jenna Nace -- University of Calgary studying Classics
