Visiting Artist | Michael O'Brien
Michael O'Brien was Augustine College's first visiting artist. He is an author, editor and artist. He has written several books including the best-selling novel Father Elijah. Formerly the editor of the magazine Nazareth Journal, O'Brien writes and lectures widely on the topic of faith and culture.
His articles have appeared in numerous journals and he has been a full-time artist for 20 years with paintings and murals displayed in churches and museums across North America. He lives with his wife Sheila and their six children near Combermere, Ontario.
Some of O'Brien's other books in the Children of the Last Days Series include Strangers and Sojourners, Eclipse of the Sun, and Plague Journal.
